Lawry’s Seasoned Salt Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients

This copycat recipe has a blend of salt, sugar, and four different spices.

It might seem like a lot, but trust me, you have all of these in your pantry!

The spices are as follows:

  • Paprika
  • Turmeric
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder

The 7th ingredient is cornstarch. As a thickening agent, it helps the seasoned salt adhere to whatever food you use it on.

How to Make Lawry’s Seasoned Salt

It couldn’t be easier. Just whisk together all the ingredients until they’re well combined.

I like to store Lawry’s seasoned salt in a small spice bottle. Use a funnel to transfer the seasoning from the bowl to the bottle.

Variations

  • The original seasoning contains celery, so you can add a pinch of celery salt if you like.
  • Paprika adds heat and a nice pop of color. But do you know what’s even better than paprika? Smoked paprika! Its smokiness gives the seasoning a more robust flavor.
  • No turmeric? No problem, use cumin instead. Both spices have a similar earthy flavor. The only difference is, turmeric has a nice, golden hue.

How to Use Lawry’s Seasoned Salt

As I’m sure you can imagine, seasoned salt is just as versatile as regular table salt.

Whether it’s prime rib, roasted chicken, pork chops, fish, or casseroles, there’s no savory entree Lawry’s seasoned salt can’t enhance.

You can also sprinkle Lawry’s seasoned salt on fries, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, popcorn, and practically any savory snack you can think of.

You can even use it to add flavor to marinades, rubs, sauces, and batters for deep-fried foods.

Heck, you can even season Bloody Mary with it!

How to Store Lawry’s Seasoned Salt

Store the seasoning in a tight-lid container and keep it in a cool, dry place. Keep it away from heat, humidity, and light.

If stored properly, Lawry’s seasoned salt will maintain its integrity for up to 2 years!
